What will you stitch first?

All of these projects use simple stitches to create beautiful results. Click the link for a detailed tutorial. All use basic, inexpensive materials easily to hand : embroidery thread, blunt ended needle and medium weight card. Pop over to the advice page if you would like more help getting started.

I should also explain briefly my philosphy about kits… These designs are all starting points. Of course you can stitch them as described in the tutorial, but it is even better if you make changes and add your own ideas. This is when the embroidery becomes your own and I love to see how it turns out, so please do use the tag #pollydextrous_sews if you are sharing on social media, or send me your pictures directly in the comments section.

Vintage Eiffel tower

My first ever stitched kit design gets a vintage makeover. Upcycled paper and neutral colour thread add a touch of class to this popular icon.
